The following steps can be used to carry out a set to set update on the KSF-620R2:
1. Have your two receivers ready. Master receiver has the software that you want to copy. Slave receiver is the one you want to copy to.
2. Have a "crossover" D9 cable ready. Pins used are 2-3,3-2,5-5. Only three wires are required.
3. Make sure both receivers are off.
4. Connect the two receivers using your D9 crossover cable.
5. Turn the Master receiver on and make sure it is on standby mode.
6. Press the "EXIT" button on the front panel of the Master receiver and then "Mute" button on the remote control.
7. The Master receiver will start up and respond with "HOST" on the receiver display. Please allow a few seconds for the receiver to respond.
8. Turn on the Slave receiver.
9. Software and Channel copy will begin starting with "dn01" to "dn99" and then "up01" to "up99". This process will be done twice as the Multiroom is two receivers in one.
10. Once the copy is finished, the Master receiver will respond with "HOST" in capitals.
11. Turn both receivers off, disconnect the D9 cable.
For the Multiroom, the process will copy firmware and channels only onto the Multiroom Master receiver. Channels will not be copied to the Multiroom Slave receiver. A factory reset and retune is recommended after copying the software.
