Some users may experience the picture going black & white when using the HT9200DTR with a CRT TV. To fix this, change the "Video Format" setting from 576i to 576p. Use the following procedure:

1) Press the "A/V+" button on the remote.
2) Press the "right" button on the remote and navigate to "Video Format" menu.
3) If the setting is 576i then change it to 576p.

DTVS-1B / Re: DTVS-1B Wake-Up Timer
« Last post by admin on December 16, 2010, 03:22:01 pm »
Hi,

There is no fault. It will not accept a '2' if time is more that 23:59. Here is an example:

1) Current time is 16:50
2) When you add a wake up time, the default time will appear as the current time which is 16:50
3) If you press a '2' to change the time, the receiver will read the time as 26:50 which is not valid. Hence '2' is not accepted.

A solution to this is to clear the time by pressing the zero button and then entering your time.

DTVS-1B / DTVS-1B Wake-Up Timer
« Last post by rubybay on December 15, 2010, 08:25:37 am »
Hi. In trying to set the wake-up timer to commence at say 20:30, at times it won't accept a '2' as the first digit, so the timer either has to set to commence at 19:59 or (if it's already after 20:00) started manually. Is this a fault with the software on the unit and if so, is it possible to fix ...? Thx.

DTVS-1B / Re: Wakeup Timer & System Time
« Last post by admin on November 25, 2010, 12:22:55 am »

Hi Mark,

1) Which channel are you on when you are pressing the EPG button? Note SBS is not a Freeview channel and EPG button will not function.
2) Channel Up and Down should work. If you are pressing "up" and "down" buttons which are above and below the OK button then they don't have the function to change channels.
3) Carry out a factory default and set to your correct region and then check.

DTVS-1B / Wakeup Timer & System Time
« Last post by mark on November 24, 2010, 11:33:47 pm »
Hi,
My 4 week old set top box has a couple or problems:-
1) The EPG button fails to work ( the STB fails to flash an ack)
2) The Channel Down fails to work ( as above)
3) When the System time is set as:-
Mode = Auto
SummerTime = On
GMT= +12
and set to NZ time/date the Wakeup time does not wake up at the stated time.
I have the 2 SBS channels and the County  = All free channels.

The Wakeup timer is OK when the System time is set to Manual and all the buttons worked when I 1st installed the unit.

Any ideas or should I take it back to the shop?
 Regards Mark

DTVS-1B / Re: Connect DTVS-1B to DVD recorder
« Last post by admin on November 24, 2010, 09:37:24 pm »
Hi Malcolm,

Your DVD recorder is not a digital satellite receiver. It will not tune the channels in. What you can tune is is the "RF" signal from DTVS-1B. You can plug "TV Out" of DTVS-1B to "Antenna In" on your DVD recorder. Then your DVD recorder will tune in the output of DTVS-1B. You can also select the input source of your DVD recorder to view what the DTVS-1B is showing.
