Prime, Four Plus 1 and The Edge channels are moving frequency. The easiest way to re-tune the DTVS-1B is to carry out a factory default and the re-tuning your receiver. The following are the steps:

On the DTVS remote control:

1. Press the MENU button
2. Select "Installation" and press the OK button
3. Select "Factory default" and press the OK button
4. Enter the password. The default password is "0000"
5. Select "Yes" and press OK on the question "Do you want to factory reset?"
6. Select your closest location (use the left or right arrow buttons to change the location). They press OK.
7. Select "Yes" and press OK on the question "Do you want to scan?"
8. The receiver will start tuning the channels and will save them automatically


Troubleshooting

1. Database Empty or Tuning Failed
This means your receiver failed to find a signal. This can happen if equipment on your satellite dish
is not sending the signal as expected by the receiver. Try the following:

a) Try tuning the receiver using the following instructions:

b) If the above gets you the channels, use the following method to remove any unwanted channels:

2. All channels tuned in but Prime, Four Plus 1, The Edge TV do not tune
Some older units may have issues with tuning due to older software on their receiver. It is possible to add the channels manually via the following instructions:
a) Press the MENU button
b) Select INSTALLATION
c) Select TRANSPONDER SETUP
d) Select ADD
e) Move to Frequency and enter 12519
f) Move to Symbolrate and enter 22500
g) Move to Network and change the value to OFF
h) Press the OK button. The receiver will response "Do you want to scan?"
i) Select Yes to scan
j) Once scanning is complete, the screen will return to the TRANSPONDER SETUP screen
k) Exit the menu by pressing the EXIT button until you see normal TV.

DTVS-1B / No signal and only two green dots on display

Your DTVS-1B will show the program (channel) number or the time on the display during normal operation. If your receiver is not showing any numbers or letters on the display and shows only two green dots then your receiver has developed a fault. You can send your unit for repair or you may replace it. We have developed a sample application which shows how to use the RS232 port for communications.

We are pleased to release the latest firmware version for the DTVS-Smart1.

Please download via the following link:

Instructions:

1. Download the v157.zip file to you PC.
2. Extract the file "NTOBE-S_UPGRADE.BIN" to the root directory of a USB memory key
3. Insert the USB memory key to any of the USB ports on the DTVS-Smart1.
4. Press the Menu button
5. Select Setup and press OK
6. Select System and press OK
7. Select System Upgrade and press OK
8. Select "Firmware Upgrade" and press OK

Summary of changes:

1) Changes to improve execution of some Android applications including Premier League Pass and Netflix
2) Some bug fixes

We suggest after loading this software, please change the Browser Style to "Android". The steps are:

Open the Web Browser, Select Settings, Select Advanced, Select Browser Style, Select Android

DTVS-SMART1 / Netflix - Laggy video

This is caused by either the speed of the internet (content delivery) or hardware acceleration not started. Restart the playback after a few seconds until hardware acceleration is enabled. Contact us if you still have problems.

DTVS-SMART1 / Netflix - Blank picture and No Audio

We are looking for a permanent fix for this this issue. Following should fix it:

1) Shut down your receiver
2) Start up the receiver and immediately press the RED button on the remote until the recovery menu shows
3) Select "Factory Reset"
4) Select "Erase cache data"
5) Select "Yes" to wipe cache
6) Select "Yes" to restart
